What’s Up Noles!
Rather than telling you the top 5 events for the entire week, today we are sticking to the best events happening this weekend since we procrastinated writing until now. Yes, even we get lazy sometimes. There are a lot of interesting events coming up but don’t worry, most of them end before 11:00 pm so you can still go out after 🙂 Also, don’t be a stranger to our homepage! There you’ll find most events happening in Tally (including which nightclubs/bars are hosting events) at any given time. You know, in case you don’t like our Top 5 for whatever reason. Speaking of our Top 5, here it is:
This Saturday at 5:00 pm, Leach is creating a portable escape room for you all to try & beat. The twist is you only have 10 minutes rather than the usual hour at most other escape rooms. The question is do you and your friends have what it takes to escape? For more info, click HERE for the event page.
If you’re in the mood for a nostalgic kind of night & love 70’s/80’s music, this one’s for you. Two bands, Naugahyde Park (70’s covers) & Clever Girl (80’s covers), will be performing your favorite tunes throughout the night. This show is hosted by The Wilbury on Gaines St. Come ready to dance, drink, and have a great time all night long! Well, until Midnight. For more info, click HERE for the event page.
For those of you who don’t know what this musical is about, it’s a love/rock musical depicting what the culture was like in the sixties. There are many great songs that came out of it such as “Let the Sun Shine”, “I Got Life”, “Aquarius”, & “Hair” of course. The show will be at the Theatre Tallahassee this Friday – Sunday (times differ depending on the day). For more info, click HERE for the event page.
For the first time ever in the history of Skedge’s 2 month existence, a venue makes it to our Top 5 twice in one post! Leach is also hosting a summer pool/movie party this Saturday at the exact same time as the Escape Room event. What a day to kill two birds with one stone huh? The great thing about this event is that there will be free food for everyone. I don’t think I can name anything better than free food. No, not even love or sex beats it. For more info, click HERE for the event page.
Hosted by 621 Gallery, this festival will feature filmmakers who are known to not follow the rules. They branch out and think outside of the box to create their best pieces of work. After viewing the films, there will also be a panel discussion afterwards. For more info, click HERE for the event page.
Hope you all have a great time this weekend!
