The Science of Solving Crime
Do you like crime-related TV shows like CSI? Come and learn what forensic science is and how it is used to help solve crimes in real life. This will include a hands-on activity and will be limited to 30 participants.
Charla Perdue, Forensic Scientist, FSU
Charla Skinner Perdue is the Coordinator and full-time faculty in the FSU Crime Scene Investigation Major program within the College of Applied Studies located at the Panama City Campus. She has a Masters in Criminology from Florida State University and a Masters in Forensic Science from the University of Florida. She is a certified Divemaster and has earned graduate certificates in Underwater Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Death Investigation. She is a member of many forensic related organizations including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the International Association of Identification and the Counsel of Forensic Science Educators.
